Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that encompasses all aspects of animal science and biotechnology. That includes domestic animal production, animal genetics and breeding, animal reproduction and physiology, animal nutrition and biochemistry, feed processing technology and bioevaluation, animal biotechnology, and meat science.

Defa Li
Defa Li received his Ph.D. from Kansas State University, USA. His research covers a wide range of topics within the field of animal nutrition and feed evaluation, and in particular he works on a dynamic database of swine feed bioavailability, on anti-nutritional factors in soybean, and on nutritional regulation of pork quality.
He is currently a professor of Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Evaluation of Feed, Dean of the College of Animal Science and Technology at China Agricultural University, Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the State Key Laboratory of Animal Nutrition, and Director of the Research Committee of Chinese nutritional value of feed and animal husbandry standards.
Defa Li also has rich experience serving as an editor or editorial board member of various journals across the field, such as Archives of Animal Nutrition and the Asian-Australasian Journal of Animal Science where he is an Associate Editor.
